lyrics
Each weekend is another exercise
In debauchery and chasing what's unwise
The weeks go by and I'm clocking up the hours
One by one, I'm losing all my secret powers
And I'm waiting for them to return
So I can call you and convince you to come home
Still I'm waiting for them to return
So I can call you and convince you to come home
with me
It's not a case of warming just my bed
Though I'm hopeless even if that is my aim
Please forget about the stupid things I said
To show you I'm the loneliness behind my name
Still I'm waiting for you to return
So I can call you and convince you to come home
Yeah I'm waiting for tables to turn
So I can take your hand and ask you to roam
with me
We're two halves of a whole
It's been two days
And to have and to hold could go two ways
But I think I already know
Yes I already know
Which way
*muthafukkin sax solo*
Still I'm waiting for them to return
Secret powers that'll win me the crown
As thin candles continue to burn
Light my way through the darkness on the edge of this town

The amount of cutting on this album turns what should be a simple track into a mosaic of many angles and edges. Essentially, a mirrored polygon of sounds, bouncing off one another in rapid precision, and yet somehow creating harmonics rarely heard. Metome loads a piano and slap bass, and scatters it across space, only for it to work in their favor and ours.
Truly bliss to listen to when gazing upwards onto the heavens or a frozen woodrose, appreciating every little detail etched upon it. DJ Home Movies
